The Artist's Way: Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm. (Click on The Artist's Way at left margin for full description.)  Minimum 5 participants.    New group will start  January 2009. 

Painting: Tuesdays 10:00-1:00pm. 

Ongoing classes  $35 per session.  Level: beyond beginner; new students welcome.

Participants paint in the medium of their choice from photos, life or the great outdoors!  Class instruction will cover topics such as: composition and design, perspective, use of values, and color theory and includes demonstrations. The class is taught in a positive, supportive environment.  Weather permitting, we will paint outdoors at various area locations.  Bring your own supplies; easels and tables provided in the studio.

         Pastel Painting: Mondays 6:30-9:15pm

                                      Wednesdays 10:15-1:00pm            

Ongoing classes  $35 per session. All levels, new students welcome. 

Discover the joys of pastel painting, a vibrant medium that is versatile, expressive and easy to learn. Working from still life or photos, the class will experiment with different types of pastels, painting surfaces, application and techniques to explore the wide range of the medium. Composition, design and color basics will be addressed through demonstration and instruction.  Bring your own supplies; easels and tables provided.

Teen Art Studio: Tuesdays 4:00-5:30pm.. $25 per session. Teens 7th-12th grade  

This ongoing, 'drop-in' open studio is geared to middle and high school students.  The studio time is unstructured to allow students to create from the heart and imagination.  Gentle critiques, technique instruction and guidance will be available.  Participants will be encouraged to be creative and try new techniques.  Exposure to different mediums such as collage, origami, life drawing, plein-air sketching etc. occurs on an occasional basis.  Most painting/drawing supplies included; easels and tables provided.  Please call the studio (973-543-0101) to reserve a place (same day is ok!)
